Prerequisite: None
Cloud computing has grown from being a promising business concept to one of the fastest growing segments of the IT industry. But as more and more information on individuals and companies is placed in the cloud, concerns are beginning to grow about just how safe an environment it is.
What are the considerations for entrusting your primary data to the cloud? What levels of data protection are required? What features are required and when does it make economic and operational sense to consider cloud storage as an option?
Panel members will aim to:
- Explore competing models used by independent, third-party auditors to validate critical security controls;
- Define forward-looking properties of cloud service offerings that address emerging concerns; and
- Propose sensible risk mitigation approaches for current cloud computing deployments.
