In 2010 and beyond, the Future-State CIO® will not only be accountable for the success of the general IT function but also process transformation, A true shift is underway with emphasis toward defining and executing strategy for how IT will drive business innovation and maintain a competitive advantage for the business at large.
Today's CIO must act as a transformation enabler and leader of the business in identifying and capitalizing on new possibilities to deliver value with information. In this thought-provoking but practically oriented session, CIO Executive Council members will share insight and best practices on the fundamental steps for migrating to—and resetting expectations for—the role as a Future-State CIO®.

In addition to focusing on the Future-State CIO®, the ½ day session will also provide a sample of the Council's peer-advisory workshop "Connecting Point" designed to help one tap into the experiences of fellow CIOs. This session is a great opportunity to expand one's professional network during your FOSE experience. Each discussion table topic is hosted and facilitated by a seasoned CIO who will impart knowledge and solicit advice. Lunch will be provided.
