Distributed Antenna System (DAS) 101
Today, first-responders are demanding reliable ubiquitous in-building radio coverage to ensure the safety of the public, as well as their own. Although not mission-critical, consumers are demanding their mobile phones and 4G data services work indoors just as effectively as they do outdoors. The way to solve these coverage problems is with a Distributed Antenna System (DAS). This presentation will present key factors driving the need for DAS deployments in all types of government buildings. In addition, the presentation will provide an overview of the components that make-up a DAS, highlights of key DAS technologies and review the critical steps that make-up the DAS deployment process.
